To complement the wonderful surrounds of this rejuvenated 1850s bluestone tavern, the gardens feature a wonderful landscape of native flora, organic gardens and the local's favourite new attraction, the Petanque piste pavillion.

Petanque originated somewhere around 1907-1910 in France, and the name is a derivation of the provencal word ped tanco, which means "feet together" on the ground.
