The Redesdale Camp Oven Cookoff is well-known in the region for the day to show off just how great you are by the campfire.

In this uniquely Australian event, teams compete for a fabulous prizes in categories including Best Lamb, Best Beef, Best Bread, Best Cake and most decorative site. The day is run by Peter and Suzie Williams at The Redesdale, with the support of the local farmers, local folk and the local Fire Brigade. There's plenty of entertainment, market stalls and food for all of those not-so local.
